Akplas, which laid its foundations in 1989 with spare parts manufacturing, took its place among the leading companies in the agricultural irrigation sector thanks to the products it developed over the years and its innovation initiatives.

With the production of clamp-type sprinkler pipes in 1995, and the production of clip-lock (mandallı) sprinkler pipes and all related equipment in 1998, it carried its manufacturing capability in irrigation to full scale.

In 2003, it became one of the first companies to receive a patent for its spring clamp-type product group, becoming one of the first manufacturers to start production in this area, and accelerated its product development efforts.

By 2004, round drip irrigation pipes began to be produced with 2LT and 4LT flow (discharge) rate options. In the same period, PE infrastructure pipes in the 16–400 mm diameter range, AYPE pipes in the 16–160 mm diameter range, and PE infrastructure irrigation pipes (16–400 mm) took their place in the field as the quality standard for water management.

In 2007, as a result of its R&D efforts, it became the first domestic company to manufacture monoblock (single-piece) spare parts, implementing another industry-shaping innovation.

In 2008, it became the leading brand in the sprinkler irrigation sector, and in 2009–2010 it achieved another milestone by becoming the first company to manufacture 50 mm diameter sprinkler pipes, as well as 200 and 225 mm diameters upon demand.

During the same period, two manufacturing facilities in Osmaniye / Türkiye became fully operational, and new irrigation product groups such as flat drip irrigation, PVC clean water infrastructure pipes, and PVC drinking/clean water infrastructure systems were included in the production portfolio. In this way, Akplas strengthened its leadership in agricultural irrigation pipes.

Today, this experience, infrastructure and production strength continues to deliver more efficient, smarter and more economical irrigation solutions to producers under the roof of Akplas’s agricultural irrigation brand IPS Irrigation Systems (IPS IRRIGATION).
